Hey guys, welcome back to our channel! It’s your new leaders of the day, Cheyaani, Isyss, and Jeeya, back with another blog; we are super excited to tell you all about the fun we had today!
Today we got to sleep in until 8 AM (yay!!). We had a yummy breakfast of pancakes, oatmeal, and a mix of strawberry and pineapple juice. We spent the day splashing in the waters of Lago Dorado. Everyone dipped into the giant pool with a matching giant slide for the first two hours; playing either volleyball or soccer or simply chatting it up in the deep end. Once the slide opened up, we all gathered to take turns going down the tobogán (slide) until lunch!
For lunch, we had the option of chicken fingers, fish fingers, hamburgers, and pasta paired with either a nice cold Coke or a bottle of water. This was the first meal that came with a dessert: flan! It was delicious!
After lunch, we had new options of either biking or a ride on a swan-shaped paddleboat. Some of us just went back into the giant pool to splash some more. The bikes and boats were four-seaters. Akasha, Avery, Camellia, and Krystal almost crashed twice! Should’ve gotten a video! Cynthia, Harpreet, Nancy, and Safat had trouble steering the bikes and nearly fell into the paddleboat lake! Thank goodness for Safat saving the day!
Eden, Jeeya, Niko, Oscar, Piper, and Xavier had so much trouble that they ended up stuck at the edge of the lake! One of our lovely students jumped out and pulled them both to shore—thank you, Eden!
After sitting in the hot sun to dry up, we wrapped up the day with a group photo and headed home.
As a reward for having so much fun, our GGLs gave us three hours of free time to shop around Chitré. There was a small pop-up artisan market where we were all able to buy super cool trinkets and souvenirs! There was even a cute little dog and a singing contest amongst kids (gritos y salomas). Having the opportunity to be leaders of the day gave us a glimpse into how our GGLs work every single day of this trip. We learned how to take control, set the schedule, keep others on the right track, and encourage everyone to have an amazing time! While writing this very blog, the three of us witnessed a wedding at the nearby church! There was an explosion of fireworks! Okay bye guys don’t miss us too much! We’ll be home soon!

What a fun day! Sleeping in is such a luxury. You all deserve deserved it after working so hard. I have to say the food sounds so good. Especially the pineapple juice which sounds fresh. Hope you fully enjoyed the vacation day.!

Wow, finally a day of fun after so much hard work and you all had extra hours of sleep. I hope you got to do all the cool things today. I can’t wait to see you waking up early when you get home hahahaha!!! Awwww, you got your much needed sweet treat. That splash in the pool on hot day must have been a life saver. Anyways, enjoy the rest of the few days and soak in all you can. We all miss you and can’t wait for you to come back and share all the stories.

What a fun day! It is the perfect reward after all of your hard work this week. Sleeping in until 8:00 a.m, spending the day outdoors, and having three hours to shop at the local markets sounds like such a great experience. I hope you soaked in every moment, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and made lots of core memories together.
