Day 9: Fun Day

Hello everyone, today’s amazing leaders were Olaf, Ayush, and Erick. Today was our fun/free day, so we had a chance to go to the beach and later on go out into the city in groups of 4. Before any of that we had some breackfast including pancakes, eggs, and a sausage patty. After eating we went to a beach called ”Rincon del Faro”. Unfortunetly, when we got there we had to wait for the weather to clear as lightning is a hazard to swim with, but we still found ways to have fun. We played volleyball, danced, and had lunch. After lunch, the weather calmed down a little bit so we were able to swim in the pool, but this activity was sadly cut short due to the thunderstorm coming back. However, we didn’t let the suboptimal weather conditions stop us from having a blast; we danced and sang our hearts out under the cover of the resort’s patio. When we got back to the hotel we set out in our groups of 4 to nearby stores and to explore Las Tablas. Olaf picked a mango off a tree and shared it with his delegation. Erick was the dad of the group by feeding everyone with his snacks and making sure eveyone was hydrated. At the beach, Ayush led his team to victory in a heated game of volleyball. Around 6:00 pm, the GGL’s took us out to a restaurant to eat burgers. Finally, after the nightly meeting, we ended off with bonding and karaoke.
