Day 9 – fun day!

Today, we got to sleep in with a later wake up call. We headed to Rincon del Faro for our fun day, a hotel with a pool and beach right next door! Before we could swim due to some rain, we played beach volleyball with our lifeguards as well. Everyone swam in the ocean together for most of our time, but we also played some games in the pool or had some piña coladas. After leaving Rincon del Faro, we made a quick pit stop for some gifts before returning to the hotel. We continued the gift shopping in the town around our accommodations. Each person purchased something for themselves and loved ones to bring back home. We were also able to experience going around Las Tablas alone without chaperons for the first time. Each group got to do similar and different things with the free time, while bonding and shopping together.

As we are finishing our trip here in Panama we are all so excited to go back to the states where it isn’t so hot 🔆. I am personally very excited to go back home, to see my dog, eat some fast food. Go home to play video games and spend time with my family. I loved this trip so much as a learning experience but also as a way to experience a new culture in a whole new country. – Gabriel

I am very excited to come back home, I’ve missed my family all throughout this trip and am very ready to have time with loved ones and some American favorites for dinner! I will be sad to leave after making so many friends and memories, regardless can’t wait to see my family and friends in two days. Shoutout to my mom for all the comments 🩷. – Mariah
