Day 9: Finito! Cap day 3

Hey! Today the leaders of the day are Jamie and Christina! Today was our last cap day where we finished the house for Doña Altagracia! To start our day we woke up and ate breakfast then transported to our cap worksite where we spent the time painting the outside of the house.

After we finished we headed back to the villa for lunch and then headed right back to work. We painted part of the inside and outside of the house white and switched off who got to paint.

After a long day of painting, we were able to finish our community action project and hand Doña Altagracia the “key” to her new home!

We headed back home at around 5, getting an hour to shower and rest before going to our final CAP final reflection seminar. After the seminar we ate dinner and had a bonfire where we roasted marshmallows, sang karaoke, did gymnastics, and played just dance.

P.S from Christina should definitely travel more 🙂

Giselle The house was very beautiful, her work was very hard but they helped the lady to have her home, you return with your happy heart to help build a new house for someone who needs it and will remember you with joy. We are here waiting for you, we miss you very much.
