Hello everyone!
This is Khali, Zylis, and Piter writing to you from Costa Rica! Today, we had a very early morning, we woke up at 630, had Quesadillas with refried red beans, Turrialba cheese, and chicken for breakfast at 730. we started off our day by doing our mental warmup which included some stretches because we were Going to be doing a lot of walking to our cultural exchange into the cheese. We walked 30 minutes to San Rafael Escuela where we played games in exchange cherish pieces of our childhood to young fifth graders.
after the cultural change when you came back to the village only had two hours of downtime after we went to the cheese farm and the lady there told us about perform in our cows and after we went downhill to the cows and we got to milk the cows me and Peter and we got to make some cheese.
We were taught the process of how to make sure Turrialba cheese. We ended up discussing about our impact as consumers and what we can do to reduce our negative impact as well as learned the hard way about how difficult it really is to make cheese. It started pouring and we all had to walk up the middle hill together up and we’re able to sign our names, our location and got a sweet treat and everyone was very thankful.
We go back to the lodge and got our money, last things before heading to dimmer. Dinner was presented to us at downtown Turrialba where we had pizza options being margarita, house pizza, pepperoni, and vegetarian. We had a lot of core memories created even being able to visit the store before heading back to the lodge.
We got back to the lodge, had our daily nightly meeting where we passed the torch and continued the night to our make shift bonfire and started playing cars and passing the time together. The night was ended off with packing and people enjoying each others presence while packing and ending the night off with giggles and laughter.
