Hi guys it’s Serina Carbuccia, Santiago Flores-Knapp & Ruchika Villivalam!
Today is our second to last day of the trip and our final cap day!! We had so much fun working on the project and are super proud of the work we accomplished. Today we worked on three different murals, finished painting 5 waste bins, and completed a hopscotch course in a play area (pictured below).
This project was aimed to be completed by multiple delegations, us being the first, but through the hard work, collaboration, and dedication of our team we completed all of the beautification within just our 3 day time period.
In the morning, we began the day with a hearty breakfast which we thoroughly enjoyed. After lunch, we worked hard into the evening finishing the final touches on our CAP project and by 4:30 we completed all of our work, ending our work-day by painting hand-prints on various glimpses shirts can signing them when we returned to La Salle.
Before returning back to La Salle, we took a final snack run at Sirena, a local grocery store where Glimpsers gathers snacks for our incomings travels as well as to share with each other.
The group then showered off the many layers of accumulated paint off their bodies and gathered for a dinner of soft tacos. After dinner, we had our CAP debrief & nightly meeting, where we got to see our last talent show (Natalie & Karen did a zumba class!) as well as tomorrow’s schedule.
With the CAP project done, all of us our feeling a little bittersweet–excited to see our families but sad that the trip and our time together is almost over.
We had so much fun on our trip so far and are super grateful for the experience and for being leader’s of the day today!

Serina: Hi mom and Nina!!! I miss u guys a lot and can’t wait to come home although I am having a lot of fun here. I can’t wait to have a 1 hour gossip sesh about everything thats happened so far! pray that i get an aisle seat for the way home, pls go to gurdwara it IS that serious i fear. okay love your guys and mom can u wash my sheets before i get home that would be soooooo solid of u.
