Day 7: Fun day/ENVIRONMENTAL justice

Today was our group’s fun day! We started today with a late wake up time and a breakfast of delicious Micky Mouse shaped pancakes and fruit. After that we took a bus up the mountain to Las Trillizas (meaning triplets) waterfalls. To get to them we took a beautiful, but sometimes challenging, hike through the rainforest. Once we got to the falls some glimpsers enjoyed them from a distance while others went for a swim! The water was pretty chilly, but our spirits were still high! After we hiked back up the hill, we had lunch at the restaurant located at the start of the trail. After lunch, we got back on the bus to get back to the house. At the house, we had an environmental scientist named Fofo, who spoke to us about ecotourism and environmental justice in Costa Rica. After that, Glimpsers enjoyed their fun day free time by heading back into town for some shopping. They were excited to buy snacks for our movie night tonight! Much love from Gracie and Oliver!
