DAY 6 – cap day 2

Welcome to the villa Families,

This is Nylah, This morning the leaders of the day woke up at 5:30 to get the day started then around 6:15 we woke everyone else up to get the day started. for breakfast we had pancakes, fruit, yogurt, black berry juice around 7:15. after breakfast we headed upstairs to started our mental warmup. Around 8:15 we headed out to Santa Rosa School to continue the cap 1 project from yesterday.

This is Ana, when we got to Santa Rosa we split into a few groups, painting, cement, and digging. Me and my group were pickaxing a canal the entire day. The cement crew mixed and laid down cement around the playground area. We were joined by two tiny dogs who kept jumping in the dirt we were shoveling. The painting group finished the entire locker room building by lunchtime, which was kindly brought to us by Diego. He brought us a dish called Casado, it was pork fajitas, rice and beans, salad, plantains. He also brought a jar of chilada if we wished to add some spice. Back to work after lunch and it almost threatened to rain, but held off so that we could keep digging until 3 pm. We walked back to the villa and got a chance to freshen up. Much needed after getting covered in paint and dirt.

This is Alexa, after we freshened up at the Villa, we had an appreciation seminar, because we never rest, because we are that locked in, until our new favorite The King Diego came and rescued us from starvation. We consumed pasta with chicken alfredo with a side of salad. The King Diego always makes sure we get our veggies in. After our fantastic filling meal, we played bit of table tennis, and then had our special meeting where we passed the torch. After our “7 hour meeting” (It was actually a 1 hour meeting), we relaxed more and got ready for bed. For the night no one was voted off the Villa, for now…

Hey guys!! It’s so lovely here I’m having a great time, every day even (especially) the CAP days. I miss you all a lot but mostly I miss cooking mwah love you bye happy fathers day. I also broke my nose in the pool haha. -ANA (GG staff have checked in with Ana and confirmed that she did not suffer any serious injury)
