Day 5: Sand and Water

We started the day early at 5:30 AM and immediately left the hotel after breakfast.

We then arrived at KICH, where Dr. Reynold G spoke to us about the social inequalities endured by Haitian immigrants.

From there, we had lunch, checked into our hotel, and went to the beach.

We had a blast and took many pictures. The fun didn’t stop there, as we all hopped into the hotel’s pool and played several games that strengthened our bonds with one another.

We then freshened up and had dinner, which was delicious. Lastly, we had our nightly meeting where we summarize the day, planned for tomorrow, and passed off the torches to our new LDDs. Overall, we had a day full of laughter, sand, and wetness.

P.S. Hola mama y papa, los extraños muchos. I can’t wait to tell you all about my trip when I get back. Also, voy a tener mucho hambre 😉 when I return. Love you lots! -Noemi
