Day 10 – Final Reflection

Hi everyone!!!
Today on Global Glimpse: Panama Edition, Glimpsers had a chance to relax. Us leaders of the day, Sani, Jesse, and Dimitri, started at 9:00am, leaving more time to rest and sleep in! Breakfast was a very toasty toast with scrambled eggs and pineapple and papaya fruit cups.
After breakfast, we had a lot of free time, more specifically, DOS HORAS! We had the option of getting our remotes to the TV, which many of us was very excited for after not having our phones for 5 days :(, and/or go explore Chitré.
Chitré proved to be wonderful for us. We loved our time at the markets, restaurants, and souvenir shops! From straw hats, to portable fans, to water bottles, to combs, we bought it all. We loved the environment and above all, the prices :).
After being called in for lunch (that being an amazing chicken and rice serving), we got the opportunity to take one hour of free time in our rooms and later watch White Chicks as a group (SCANDALOUS!!!)!!!!
After the fabulous movie, we had an American style dinner: Hamburgers and Fries by our amazing chef, Samy.
Currently, (as of 8pm Central Standard Time), we are watching the first ever Gran Desfile Nacional Danza de Diablos in Chitré.
Having the ability to spend extra time with all of my friends today was an amazing experience for us. I’m always gonna be grateful for them. Going around to shops, food courts and diners will brighten my experience every time. ~Dimitri
Hi Family! I miss y’all so much, especially Snowstorm. The food here is so good, but this heat oh my goodness- it’s something different. I’m sweating bullets just sitting down. But I’m doing well and meeting so many wonderful people. I am writing in my journal Nana; every day I record what happens and my feelings. Taking my meds and doing my stretches and yeah. I got some souvenirs, but leave comments of what y’all want, including AD and Krys. I love yall sooooooooooooooooooooooo much. I can’t wait to talk and see yall in 5 days (can you believe that??).

I can just imagine what the heat is like there 😰.. Stay hydrated and pace yourself… The food…I bet is a different/good taste for you. I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself, making memories and meeting new people.🤗

HELLO….WOWW, this sounds like a fun packed day full of sunshine and great food. Saniiii you were a leader and I’m sure you did an amazing job, I’m super super proud of you my 🌞SUNSHINE…. I’m glad you are doing your stretches and taking your meds like you should, you should hear my voice in your head asking you “Sani did you write, Sani did you eat, Sani did you stretch., etc. . Lol… Yeap I’m they tagging Grandmother aka NANA that loves you to pieces. Keep making memories, keep meeting new people, keep engaging with other’s and just keep being GREAT. Continue having fun and enjoying the heat (just being funny, I know that’s not your thing, it’s mines.. I literally ♡♡love the heat.)
I don’t care what you bring you back as long as you get back happy, healthy and full of wonderful stories and recipes. Lol
I love you and miss you terribly. I guess this is to prepare me for when you leave for college and it is no fun because I miss you, (misty eyed 😢)…..Ok, sighing hard… whewww… have a great day 6 everyone 😀 😊

Hey guys, I am sorry it’s so hot over there but if it makes you feel better it’s been pretty nice weather out here and less humidity. Not sure what Gran Desfile Nacional Danza de Diablos in Chitré is but I hope to hear all about it. Enjoy all of that good sun
