Day 5 – Community Action Project – Proyecto Eco Azuerdo

Today we traveled to Playa Venau and planted trees alongside Eco Proyecto Azuero.

Along the trip we faced lots of challenges, the most notable one being the difficult terrain and mud that made a lot of us fall on our faces. We made the most out of the situation and were able to bring morale up and plant all the trees we were allocated.

Something that made it all worthwhile was seeing the entire forest from the highest point of the land and the completion of all our hard work. Also the wildlife was exquisite and was the most anticipated part of our trip, especially the monkeys, which were the animals we were most hoping to see.

To reward ourselves we had lunch at a beachside restaurant and were spoiled with acai bowls and sweets.
