PURA VIDA from Costa Rica!!! This is Gabby, Sydney, and Gina, the leaders of the day.
The morning started for us at 6:45am and we woke up our glimpsers to the beats of Lizzo. A refreshing start to the day!… for some. We had sandwiches and fruit bowls for another hard day of digging trenches. We then led the group with a flag football inspired warm up to prepare our bodies for the day. During out 6 hour block of working, digging, and pickaxing, we were able to FINALLY finish digging out the trench and begin placing the pipes and undoing (covering up) our hard work. In between our work day, we had lunch, it was chicken, pork, fried rice with a nice refreshing salad on the side. To complete our work day, we wrote thank you cards to everyone who made this trip possible for us. Beside all of the trench work and writing thank you cards, many of us were found face to face with giant Huntsmen spiders, which was not ideal to anyone.
Wrapping up our day, we had our nightly meeting and passed the torch to Jas and Bella! Bella show cased her talent of detaching her jaw and Jas sat while Sydney, Ms. Sabrina, and Piter threw gummies into her mouth, yum!! To reward our glimpsers, we are giving them downtime to rest up before another early start tomorrow. Please send wishes of no more spider encounters and glacier showers.
