Starting our day strong off at 6:30am, we got ready and meet up for breakfast which was eggs, cinnamon roll, gallo pinto (rice and beans) with orange juice and coffee. Then we headed down to the bus stop where we waited a hot minute and played games to pass the time. Boarding on to the bus with 50+ other people. The sun was working against us, leading to a huge amount of heat on the bus that none of us glimpsers enjoyed but persevered through. Then we arrived at downtown Turrialba where we walked to the park and took a group picture in front of the Turrialba sign.

We then headed to get ice creams and milkshakes, followed by a walk down to the market. Before we knew it, we departed back to the base house for lunch. Afterwards we began to head to the dinning room for our second CAP (community action project) seminar where we reviewed what we’re gonna do for the community project. Fortunately, we were granted free time for an hour where the glimpsers bonded with each other. Then we came together to talk about our cultural exchange, which well take place tomorrow at the local school here. Then our enthusiastic glimpsers were excited to finally get the chance to call their families. Sadly, not everyone had the opportunity to call home 🙁 Next up all the glimpsers headed to the dinning room for a very delicious dinner of salad and lasagne cooked by the lovely staff. After dinner everyone had a few minutes of free time and started to get ready for bed and lights out!
