Day 10: Closing reflection Day

HIIIII! It’s day 4 in the villa with LDDs Emmanuel, Rachel and Dustin! We are now one step closer to helping the community here in Panama. Today, the glimpsers woke up bright and early at 6:30am. After eating breakfast, we boarded the bus and embarked on a 1hr and 30 min bus ride to the beautiful beach of Playa Venao! There, we collaborated with our C.A.P (Community Action Project) partners “SAVE THE TURTLES” to dicuss how we can help their initiative to conserve and protect wildlife in this beautiful country. Finally, the glimpsers returned to Las Tablas to explore the captivating town and return to our lovely hotel.

Here we looked at some (sadly deceased) tortugas :((((((((((( #rip, to learn about the different stages of their development. But they were cute, and we’re excited to help save many of them! Fun Fact: The turtle Zyelle is holding is an albino turtle which is seen only 1 in 10,000. Wish he would have made it though, sorry twin </3.

Here we are looking at the office that we’ll be cleaning to make sure it is organized and prepared to hold the materials we need to help get the turtles nest ready.
The group circled up after a relaxing meditation session with Alexandra.
During today’s activity, glimpsers discussed what we learned and began organizing how to approach our project. Who’s that gorgeous sophisticated man in the green shoes and white shirt??!! OH MY GOD!! glorious!! (It’s me). Ryan also looking gorgeous as usual.

Save the Turtles! What an amazing project to support! Thank you for taking time out of your summer to learn new things and serve important efforts such as Save the Turtles. You are incredible humans! okay im on the cruise and girlll. we got the wifi package cause I needed this phone. but me n St. John’s going good again actually. there’s already a fine shyt on my cruise and guess what Mel. Cuban.
