Hey, GG families! Today was a very active day here in the DR. We started our day early at eight with a delicious breakfast (eggs, cheese, pancakes, ham, mashed potatoes, and most devoured of all, churros!). We (Adriana and Gisselle) led morning meeting where we discussed art and traditions.

Then we all headed over to make clay molds with el “Gato” (clay sculptor), we enjoyed getting our hands, dirty, and engaged in friendly competitions (Giselle said she won, I beg to differ – Adriana).

We then came back to eat lunch (tasty chicken, rice, beans, plantains). Then, we engaged in another meeting, where we got to play games to know more about one another.
We zoomed to dance class after our initial delay where we got to know Paul Rosado and he taught us how to eat the house down boots with salsa, Bachata, and merengue.

The we were hungry to eat some more, so we cooled down with some ice cream afterwards.

We later came back for more games where we were hungry to compete for the winning title of zip, zap, zap, animal, guessing game, etc. We later ate dinner, which was devoured by us all (sweet corn, ham, and pepperoni pizza). Then we led our nightly meeting, where we discussed how art and tradition is an important part in culture we then handed off the torch (watches) to our next Leaders of the Day, where we were amazed by their talented cartwheels and singing (they really ate that). It was an awesome day of eating up the food, sculptures, dances, ice cream, and talents). We’re full, off to bed!
