Today was our first day in Turrialba. We had a wonderful time getting to know each other and establishing a common ground for our experience. We agreed on what we want and don’t want this trip to be about. We all drew our hands as a symbol of commitment and understanding.
We also had time to explore the town; we went to the grocery store (Pulperia) to buy local snacks and fresh cheese, which we’ll enjoy tomorrow during our family day. We’re looking forward to learning how to make empanadas and, most importantly, becoming better compassionate in the land of Pura Vida.
