Day 2: Welcome + Panama Canal

Hello Families,

Today we visited the Panama Canal and reached Chitre in the afternoon. We started the day early at 6:30 am with a breakfast buffet and checked out of the hotel. Immediately after breakfast we got on the road and headed to the Panama Canal.

While there we watched the massive ships passing through the Canal in from viewing area. We then watched a documentary on the creation of the Panama Canal which was very interesting and educational. The fact the Morgan Freeman was the narrator made it even more intriguing.

Once leaving the canal on our bus ride to Chitre the ride was full of great energy with an amazing playlist created by our students. It included a great mix of current songs and old school jams from our childhood.

We arrived in Chitre in the afternoon where we then check out our rooms and relaxed until it was time for the selection of our Leader of the Day. Had a very delicious dinner and now here filling in on our day. Until tomorrow where the students will be taking over the blog.
