Day 2, Welcome and history, by Judeah and Josue

Hi families!

Wake up today was at 7:30, with an 8:45 breakfast, the breakfast included cereal, cheese, toast, eggs and more. After breakfast we called home, well some did. After we called home, we had the culture and safety meeting, we went over the rules and did lots of other things. Then after we had free time, we all made friends, bonded, some playing volleyball, playing uno and more things.

Then at ~12:30 we had lunch, which included Yellow rice, Green salad, Meatballs and more. Then we went to the city around 2, we toured the city and stopped at the fire station where some glimpsers went down the fire pole, it was an interesting tour, they showed us how they changed into their uniform, fun fact ( I, Josue, translated the whole tour). After that we walked to the park, Parque Duarte, which is named after one of the founding fathers of the Dominican Republic. After that we went to get paletas (it was BUSS- Judeah)

Then we went to the currency exchange to change some money, then we went to a super market called Sirena, where we bought lots of yummy snacks. (I got chocolate – Judy :)).

Then we got back did our leadership meeting where we found out what kind of leaders we are. Then dinner was also a BUSS – Judeah, we had Yuca, Salami, Green salad, and more.

After dinner we had some free time, but shortly after we had our nightly meeting, where we talked about the question of the day and passed down the torch! To the next LDD leaders.

Judeah- Hi Mommy and Kaleb and Mickale. I miss you. Tell my kitty I miss her so much and mommy will be home soon. Also hi everybody else’s family. they miss you too!

Josue – Hola Familia, los extrano mucho, y espero que esten bien, manden saludos a Bombon por mi, I assure everyone that your kids miss you.
