Today was full of bonding and betrayal. With breakfast being in our stomachs and rules being stated we were all excited to explore the city. A fruit haul at the local super market later we met with local firemen to learn about their history. The volunteering, the donated Japanese firetruck, it really felt like we were getting into the depths of the culture of Constanza. A music filled drive with DJ Nacho (One of our PC’S) ensued as we were able to go to the previous delegation’s built house. The bright lime green, the stories that were told, it was all so sweet and genuine. We learned so much about the people and their lives here in the community that we realized we had already been developing our own community as well. An intriguing and unforgettable game of Mafia with everyone against one another, yet with only love in our hearts. A chat with dinner to top it all off is what brought our day to and end. Today was not only just a welcome and history day, it was a day where a few strangers in a foreign country bonded and became closer like we’ve known each other for lifetimes.

Anna and Safi- This line really got me “We learned so much about the people and their lives here in the community that we realized we had already been developing our own community as well.”
