DAY 2: First student leaders

Hey to any family reading, this is Lester and Stoli. Our first official journey into the Dominican Republic involved us going into the city (Constanza) and exploring it. We visited monuments, the firefighter station, and a military zone. Then we came back and had free time where we all got closer through soccer, kickball, basketball and card games.

Then there was a rain storm, which also made us get closer. all the food today was amazing – breakfast, lunch, and dinner (especially dinner – Lester).
After dinner, we had our nightly meeting. We passed the torch (gave our leadership to the next leaders), talked about the day, and celebrated the 4th. We had cake and played with sparklers while listening to music.

So today, in short, it was productive, harmonious, and pretty fun.

Hey son. I decided to check the blog today. Coming here and seeing you as one of the first leaders made me smile. I’m so happy to also see that you’re enjoying the trip and food (of course) thus far. You’re not new to traveling, but different because you’re not with family. However, I know this will be a great experience for you. This time will fly by, so continue to learn and explore everything at your fingertips. Rhegan and I love you and miss you.
