Day 2: constanza here we are!

Hello families & friends!

Today was an exciting first day for our students as they began their journey in Constanza.

The morning started in Santiago and after breakfast we headed to Constanza, a mountain town known for its beautiful valley and cool climate.

After arriving at the hotel, students settled into their rooms and we had lunch together. The menu included rice, fried chicken, and salad, which everyone enjoyed.

In the afternoon, we officially kicked off the program with a series of welcome seminars. During these sessions, students learned about safety guidelines, the program schedule, and the hotel facilities. They also got to know better the Program Coordinators, who introduced themselves and shared a little about their backgrounds.

Later, we explored the town of Constanza and learned about its history and local community. One of the highlights of the afternoon was a visit to the local fire station, where students attended a presentation and even had the opportunity to use the fire pole!!

Back at the hotel, we continued with group activities and took some time to reflect on the day’s experiences. After dinner, we gathered for our traditional Nightly Meeting, where we reviewed the day, prepared for the activities ahead, and celebrated our first Leaders of the Day. They showcased their talents, earned their torches, and are now ready to take on their leadership roles throughout the program.

One of the most anticipated moments of the day was the first phone call home. Being able to connect with their families brought smiles to many faces 🙂
