Day 11: Arriving To SFO

Pura Vida!🇨🇷

At 4:45am, we all woke up for the final time in Costa Rica. We grabbed all of our belongings and boarded the bus. We drove for 30-minutes through San Jose Costa Rica, and finally arrived at the SJO airport. Our amazing PCs walked us all into the airport, and we took one final group picture together. Dianna and Luis said their farewells, and we began checking our bags. Our flight was had a 1-hour delay, which gave us 60 more minutes with each other to talk, laugh, charge up our phones that we did not have for 11 days, and soak in our Costa Rica experience together. Once it was our turn, we began boarding the flight back to SFO. The airplane ride was filled with fun movies to watch, some music to listen to, and of course, lots and lots of food to snack on for the 7-hour flight!

At approximately 3:30pm, we landed at the San Francisco airport. After collecting our items from baggage claim, we were joined by our friends and family members to say our goodbyes as a group. The closing moments of an unforgettable trip left us all with a bittersweet feeling, but a lot of us hope our Global Glimpse chapters will continue as Global Glimpse Ambassadors, and we hope to keep in touch.

Thank you to every person who made this trip possible. The students have the spotlight for traveling, but the family members, friends, teachers, and other role models who did what was necessary for this trip to happen, thank you.
