Day 10: Grand Final

Hi family and friends. My name is Mya and I was one of our LDDs today. Today, we woke up bright and early at 7 AM. We had our last breakfast at eight. Then we did several activities starting at 9 AM.

  1. Start, Stop, Continue: it is when we all as a group wrote down some things we individually wanted to stop, start, and continue. Then we hung them up and wrote what others had that we liked.

2. “Tap Someone If…” In this activity, 12 people sat in the center and closed their eyes. The remaining seven will tap one person or more if a certain phrase related to a certain person. For example, “Tap someone if you want to stay in contact with them.” This makes people feel appreciated and noticed without noticing who.

3. Big Love Paper: here is when everyone sat in a circle, and wrote their name in the center of the paper. Then you would pass it to your right and write something about that person until your paper comes back to you!

After the activities, we had time to play different games amongst one another before heading to lunch at 12:30. Here we had plantains, rice beans, and fried chicken.

Hello supporters, I’m Madisyn and I was also an LDD today. After we had our last lunch at the villa, everyone was sent to pack their belongings and prepare for our transport out. Once all the suitcases were packed and collected, we took a 2 and a half hour bus ride into Santiago, Dominican Republic, where we had dinner, went sightseeing, then settled at a new hotel that’s much closer to the airport for our early morning travel tomorrow. We ate at a place called 212 NY Pizza, then visited “El Monumento,” and now we are staying at the Aloha Sol Hotel, waiting to head home in the AM.

Today was very eventful and a nice way to end off our trip.

PS Hello mother, I know this is the blog you’ve been waiting for.
