Day 10 – Fun Day

ELLOOOOO Blog! It’s the leaders of the day, Karen & Nathalie! We started our day waking everyone up at 7:00am with heavy knocks. We got ready to have a delicious breakfast, eggs, toast, ham and yummy, fresh, and juicy pineapple. After breakfast, we all gathered in a circle to being the 3 HOUR SEMINAR. During the seminar we played an activity where we tapped all the people who impacted our journey here at Global Glimpse. This made each and everyone of us feel loved and appreciated by our new best friends. In addition, we concluded our seminar by sharing big love to everyone of our peers! The messages where extremely sweet and I hope its a memory we can forever share.

After having our very last seminar we enjoyed our last lunch made with lots of love by our great kitchen staff! We leaders of the day (Karen & Nathalie) gathered all glimpsers to have a JC Penny inspired photoshoot, featuring our hotels landscape! Then our GG’s had a supper cool surprise and told us that we were going to a national park with a beautiful waterfall. As we walked the trail we had to encourage everyone with motivational quotes such as “Dale mis amores”. After the hike we took a bus ride to el centro de Jarabacoa, where we all made our last purchases to take home to our families. We even got to stop for ice cream on our to our last dinner at Pizza & Pepperoni. 6 full pizzas later… we began walking to our car when a dog hops in and follows us home. We all shared laughs and love towards the cutest dog ever (some of us where sad we couldn’t take it home).

When we arrived a La Salle we gathered for our last nightly meeting and we go to share big loves to one another (Dylan gave individual big loves to EVERYONE). And then, our GG’s had one last surprise… A BON FIRE!!!! This wrapped up our journey together in the Dominican Republic.

RETURN FLIGHT INFO

Hello families. Tomorrow we will be departing from the Dominican Republic to return to the Bay Area. We will be leaving from Santiago on United Flight 240 at 6AM local time heading towards Newark, New Jersey. After a few hour layover in New Jersey we will board United Flight 1227. We are scheduled to arrive back at SFO at 4:28PM. We will be landing at Terminal 3 and will meet you all at the baggage claim area. We look forward to seeing you there!
