Day 10: Final reflections 🤪

GOOD NIGHTTTTTT or evening its like 7PM right now LMAO (Laughing my arms off). GOODMORNING AND GOOD AFTERNOON depending on when you read this. Guys I really miss my phone I was really debating buying a burner during this trip BUT I DIDNT and that was a good idea 🙂-Sam. Okay lets start this

GOODMORNING AMERICA it is Sam and Masiela here with your daily blog 😜It is day 10 of our 11 day trip, super sad its ending soon however we are SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited to return home and I myself and EVEN MORE EXCITED to get MY PHONE BACK AND WATCH INSTAGRAM REELS!!!

Today was scheduled as a pretty chill day compared to most we’ve had on this trip. We started the night receiving our titles as the new, incomparable, showstopping, jawdropping LDDs (sorry Alisa and Xiryah). We did a SUPER AWESOME talent, we found out we can talk to dolphins!!! It was a bit jarring to be within the audience for that (and honestly for us as well(I didn’t know I could make sounds with such high frequency till that point in time EVEN WITH PRACTICE)). We shared the new question of the day, quote, agenda, and final reminders on our glamorous board. BTW (check day 9 for abbreviation meaning) it was SOOOOOO unfair for us to go after Alisa and Xyriah because their board was BEAUTIFUL and ours was also beautiful but… no comment 🙂.

After the meeting, we were waiting as the music blasted through the hallways (we tried asking for Bad Bunny but they didn’t hear that. THEY SOMEHOW HEARD US ASKING THEM TO SHUT UP AND TURNED THEIR VOLUME UP SO THAT PMO (put me off 😁).  Eventually, we went to do room checks. It honestly went pretty good besides for the UNGODLY amount of times we had to go up and down the stairs (why was everyone spread out 💔everyone used to just be on the second floor for card games at night). Everyone went to their rooms after their first reminder, which was honestly really surprising due to the previous warnings we have received before our LDD day. It was probably because we have such fine shyt aura that everyone fell in love with us and decided to go to bed at that moment 😝. The only real issue we came across was not being able to sleep due to all the noise, thank god for Panamanian parties or wtv 🥀🥀🥀. Surprisingly, we fell asleep with the volume at full blast, not sure about the other glimpsers. (GUESS WHAT BY THE TIME WE WOKE UP FOR WAKEUP CALLS THE DJ WAS STILL PLAYING MUSIC JUST VERY QUIETLY). And that’s the end for the night 😊

GOODMORNING FAMILYYYYYYY AND FRIENDS AND ANYONE WITH A DEVICE CAPABLE OF ACCESSING THE GG BLOG SITE It is now morning. Masiela and I woke up at 6:50 to get up bright and early to wake everyone up. I REALLY procrastinated packing so I decided to pack right then and there (AND FINISHED BEFORE 7:20!!!). We decided to wake up the GGL’s before everyone else, so we knocked on Ms. Eileen’s door at 7AM to NO RESPONSE. We BANGED on the door and NO REACTION, HOW RUDE. We got ready for the day then started our journey waking everyone up. Honestly, most people were already awake and started getting ready as well as packing some final stuff. Then we reached 107. Valentin, Scott, and Jonathan. Surprisingly, Jonathan opened the door immediately, already fully conscious and getting ready for the day. Valentin and Scott were knocked out still, so we turned on the light to wake them up. Valentin told us to turn off the light, but why would we listen to sleeping beauty over here? So we didn’t, we kept their lights on and kept talking to them till they were fully responding, mostly Valentin BUT that’s a huge improvement from yesterday’s morning crew (again, sorry Alisa and Xyriah 😬). Everyone was awake and ready to hit the road! We started breakfast a few minutes early, surprisingly, I think around 5 minutes? 5-8? IDK but early enough. After breakfast, we thanked our AMAZING cook Sara and servers Hilda and Jenny. Julianna and Joseph had worked really hard the night before on cards for all of them, Joseph was almost in tears by the end of it due to the teasing he received for drawing a banana on one of them.

After our awesome breakfast, we had our final seminar that was 3 HOURS LONG! Honestly, time passed pretty quickly as we all got to share how we felt about each other anonymously on a piece of paper, and in other ways 😏. We had 2 anonymous gratitude activities, one involved touching the shoulder of people with a specific sentence applied to (Except Jack, we think he got beat up a little because everyone opened their eyes to see him yell and jump forward. Probably because we love him so much! 🙂). OMG I GOT TICKLED BY SO MANY PEOPLE like it was super sweet so many people thought highly of me but why did I get BRUTALLY tickled 4 times within most rounds. After our seminar, we went downstairs for our final meal in Rex Hotel, a delicious breaded chicken with rice, a potato salad, and plantain chips. OH and iced tea!! I’m really going to miss that iced tea ☹️. As 12:30PM approached, we said our final goodbyes to the staff and Angelita 🙁 who unfortunately could not be with us for the ride to Panama City. We loaded the bus pretty quickly I’d say, we got on the road at 12:40PM. 😛

We immediately played music because everyone loves to DJ. I, Masiela the minute I got on the bus started singing and dancing. I was able to get people up and dancing to YMCA or singing to What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. So that made me super happy that we could all be on our own party bus. Pretty quickly, half the bus got the Sleepy Scott disease including Sam (Just for a bit though). I, Sam, woke up from my beautiful nap to forget how my legs felt, and as I was in the midst of shaking them, Alisa and Masiela were asking what my handwriting looked like, which my barely conscious self said I forgot. I was scared, I was holding Joseph’s hand for IDEK how long but I was so scared because I thought my legs fell off. IDK if he realized that BTW, I think he just thought I was sad about the trip ending.

I, Masiela continued to dance all around the bus while Sam was struggling to wake up. I couldn’t tell she was that out of it. We continued to have our 10 person dance party because the sleepy crew was still asleep (some laying on 4 chairs (Ahem…. Valentin), or laying on the stairs (Ahem… Julianna)) Then we had a pit spot to a gas station. SUPER FANCY BTW it was really clean and a great experience in comparison to the gas stations in the U.S. I, Sam, was counting pennies to see how gluttonous I could be. I bought ice cream 😛super yummy BTW. I loveeeeeee ice cream. Many people bought food and drinks for the road, most went to the bathroom. As we reboarded the bus, the party continued with more people awake now. BTW WE DROVE NEXT TO A PARTY BUS!!!!! That was so cool, I saw kids and adults just dancing and that was so fire. As we arrived at our new home for the night, we settled in quickly. Room arrangements were REALLY good this time around, even confusing Ms. Eileen sometimes LOL. We unpacked for today, then went upstairs for our delicious dinner. It was chicken, a salad, and plantain chips. I wasn’t too hungry, so Scott ate my yummy chicken. He also ate a lot of cheese, kinda reminded me of a rat. After that, we had our final nightly meeting, going over the previous night’s QOTD and passing the torch over to our wonderful PC’s, Zarai and Kenia. Zarai spoke to us in Korean for her talent, which surprisingly Catherine understood because of all the k-dramas she watches. We were all shocked to hear her actually speaking Korean. Kenia sang a Nicaraguan song about a lady, very pretty song. Might check it out ONCE I GET MY PHONE BACK. BTW, 17 MORE HOURS UNTIL I AM REUNITED WITH MY BABY (my iphone 14). P.S., we wrote this in an hour so HAHAHA DIIGANT AND VALENTIN WE WEREN’T EVEN CLOSE TO YOUR TIME and ours will still be the best. We are such good bloggers we beat the record of an hour and 30 minutes for writing while still making it long. Guess you could say… heh… we’re the best LDD’s. BEST FOR LAST

HIIIIIII this is Sam! I had such a great time doing head count and making sure everything was in place, even if the day wasn’t as hectic as most. I got to learn a lot about everyone around me and this was such a  good opportunity and experience I WILL be applying towards marching band camp (day after we land for me btw 💔)

HIIIIIII this is Masiela! I had such a fun day, of course I enjoyed YELLING OVER EVERYONE saying GLOBALLLLLL and everyone responding GLIMPSEEEEE. As well as getting to dance and sing along with everyone on the bus. I’m so glad I got to know everyone on the CH2D trip and I will always cherish our fun times even after this 11 day trip ends. (Which is crazy because it feels like 2 months worth on time spent with the others)

THE BEST LDDS SIGNING OFFFFFFFFF 😝😝😝😝😝😝😝NO GLAZE BTW WE REALLY ARE HUMBLE DOWN TO EARTH INDIVIDUALS. PERIOTTTTTTTT 😝😝😝
