CAP day 3!

Hi, LDDs Miloh and Autymn here!
Today was essentially our last day in Panama, and it was one of the best days on the trip. To start off, we had our final breakfast at Hotel Esperanza, with a serving of sausage, egg, empanadas, and pineapple juice. That was then followed by a seminar led by our GGLs, PCs, and one of our LDDs. To start, our lovely health coordinator, Kalena, instructed the glimpsers to create a “map” detailing their own feelings about the trip in whatever way they wanted.
They had 4 prompts to guide them, including:
- 5 of the most significant moments on the trip to the artist
- The greatest lesson they learned about themselves
- The greatest lesson they learned about leadership
- Most inspirational person on the trip
After that, we launched into our “Touch the Shoulder” activity, the real tearjerker of the morning. Glimpsers on an outside circle would stand facing out with their eyes closed while glimpsers on the inside circle would walk around in a circle. When a prompt was stated, someone on the inside would tap the shoulder of a person on the outside that they felt like best fit the person. Questions included, “Someone you wish you knew more”, “Someone that made you laugh, “Someone who is beautiful inside and out” etc. This then led into our self-reflection, where Glimpsers would write on a sticky note one thing they want to start post-trip, one thing they want to stop, and one thing they want to continue.
After this activity, I (Autymn) led the group in a big love activity in which I passed out papers to everyone, and they wrote big words of endearment and encouragement to one another in 30 seconds. Afterwards, Miloh led everyone in a shout-out and talk about the words left on our papers. Following this final reflection was a lunch where we enjoyed cake and an AMAZING flan afterwards. Right after lunch, we headed to the bus with all our luggage and sang the entire time #coachella. Currently we are at hotel ‘Ojos del Rio’ (not to go off topic but I love my room. We have a TUB, BALCONY and WALK-IN SHOWER) and are staying here until about 5:30-6:00 am, where we will be getting back on the plane to LAX.
