DAY 10- Final day in the villa

Hola familia y amigos! It’s us Vanessa and Dax your final Leaders del dia! Today we woke everyone up at 6:30. Personally I Dax got into the pool with some of the fellas and then got ready for the day! The ladies on the other hand woke up at 6:00. We then reminded everybody to start packing at 7:30. For our last breakfast with our Chef Diego we had gallo pinto, huevos, queso frito, fruta, y mas. After breakfast Vanessa and I made Diego a thank you card and took some pictures.

After breakfast we had a closing reflection seminar where we were able to grow even closer as a group and connect on a deeper level. Some of the activities during our seminar included writing the strengths of our peers, drawing out our personal reflections of our Global Glimpse journey, and giving Big Love to everybody!

We said our final goodbyes to the villa, gathered the rest of our belongings, got on the bus, and said adios to Santa Rosa!

Hi family and friends it’s me Vanessa! I’m going to be telling you all about our afternoon/evening. After 2 hours on the bus we stopped at a souvenir shop called La Guaria and Nino gave us a tour of the church in Cartago and people were able to purchase items from the places around the church. We then hopped back onto the bus with our souvenirs and items, lot’s of extra weight! After an hour and a half ride to San Jose we stopped and ate dinner at Ikua, we had options such as: fish, beef, chicken, salad, mashed potatoes, beans, rice, and steamed vegetables. For dessert our adult leaders surprised us with brownies and ice cream and an extra surprise for the birthday girls, me, Asma, and SuHeilee! Finalmente, llegamos al hotel.

At the hotel, we got our room keys, went to our rooms with our roommates who we are way closer with now and dropped off our things and prepared for our final nightly meeting. Dax and I then passed the torch back to Angel and Lupe and prepared for our flight early in the morning. ps Dax and I got matching hoodies.
