Good evening from Las Tablas, Panama!
Your Global Glimpse Leaders, Patrick and Madison, are here to share some updates for you about our first official day in country.

Our delegation began their journey bright and early with a trip to the Panama Canal. We watched a ship travel through the Miraflores Locks. The ship was the Hafnia Wren traveling from Singapore to Houston, Texas. Afterwards, we watched the action-thriller 3D IMAX film, titled Panama Canal: Land Divided, A World United, narrated by Morgan Freeman. Many of our students bought a souvenir from the gift shop and got a snack before we hit the road from Panama City to Las Tablas (which is about a 5-hour drive).

Once we arrived at the hotel in Las Tablas, students rested, played some games together, and swam in the pool. They enjoyed their bonding time and taking plenty of pictures. We had a few seminars to go over expectations for the trip, ate dinner together, and then had our first nightly meeting. Our leaders of the day for tomorrow discussed the question and quote of the day, as well as presented the itinerary. As we write this blog entry, our students are sharing some more quality time together.

Tune in tomorrow for the first official post by our leaders of the day!
Buenos Noches + Big Love!

Love to everyone on this adventure. Hope it’s joyful and exhausting (but not too much).
