Heyyyy party peopleeee! Its Joyce, Briannys, and Sophia! Today was CAP Day 3. We woke up very early at 7:00 am and did our daily health check-in at 7:30. Then we headed off to Santa Ana to finish our murals. So many of the kids participated by painting their own little details. During the kids’ break at 11:20, we played piggyback and ran around the classrooms. We had so much fun spending time with them. After we finished the last details of the classrooms, we presented some of the teachers at the school with appreciation gifts and gave short speeches to let them know how much it has meant working with them. After yummy desserts offered by the teachers of the school, the kids asked us to autogragh their shirts and notebooks. We took lots of poloroid pictures and gave them bracelets to remember us by.
After a hearfelt goodbye filled with tears, we headed back on the bus to the hotel to have chicken sancocho and rice served with plantains and lemeonade. After that we had free time and most of us headed out in groups to go shopping and buy souvenirs. After we headed back to the hotel, we wrote letters of appreciation to the Global Glimpse supporters, and all partook in a CAP debrief. When this was completed, we all went to the mall as a group and bought clothing, makeup, snacks, and visited multiple shops. We then headed back to the hotel to eat dinner, and debriefed at our nightly meeting, where we passed the torch onto the next leaders of the day! Now we are writing this blog and hoping we don’t miss Karaoke!!!
Until next time, signing out,
Joyce, Briannys, Sophia
