CAP DAY & COOKIES 2

Hello everyone, we hope your are enjoying our daily blog.  Today we continued our CAP project and started the day off getting ready to work on Doña Australia’s house. She was very excited for us to be working on her house and greeted us with much hospitality. 

Today we had 3 leaders each helping in leading in whatever way they could.  

We all 3 had our own take on today’s experience some being more eventful than the other. 

— Hi everyone!! My name is Evangeline I was one of the leaders for today. I was woken up by my fellow leader leader , who will speak on here later, and I returned the favor by knocking on everyone else’s door to get ready for breakfast. After breakfast we immediately went to get ready to continue our CAP activites. Luckily this time the house wasn’t too high up this time so bringing materials up wasn’t so grueling. We immediately went to work as we already got the hang of what we are doing from yesterday and got to bringing the materials up and mixing the cement in. For me personally, working and mixing the cement is so fun, it’s like playing with sand but sand that hardens and ruins you clothes if you get even just a smuge on them. There was also a group that help create better steps for Doña Australia since they were not safe for her and her family. We thankfully finished early again both on the house and steps, making Doña Australia’s day by giving her a more sustainable house. 

— Hello everybody!! My name is Joss and I was one of the other leaders for today. After lunch we all had freetime. I had the chance to go to the bakery with all my hearts and we tried out different foods. As we were waiting, Joe and Adrianna were swinging on the swings at the bakery. Joe’s sandle came off and hit me, so I tried to put his sandle back on as he was still swinging. As I was doing this I recieved a kick in my face and my glasses went out flying. It was such a relief that my glasses did not break or get damaged, it would had been a much different story. I purchased a lemonade and choco flan. It was the best choco flan I ever had and there was caramel drizzled all over. Emma bought us all empanadas and it was extremely good (I am going back for more tomorrow). It was such a vibe and we all got to strengthen our bond even more. 

— Hey everybody!!! My name is Christin and I was one of the other leaders for today. Unfortunately for me I didnt get the chance to work with everybody on the CAP project because i sprained my ankle. luckliy I am fine and was able to see Doña Australia’s house today to see what everybody was doing. with the hard work everbody did today we got the job done quickly. Because of that we got a special treat by Bernardo, it was fresh strawbery refreshers wth cookies on the side. After that we got back to the hotel and did our nighlty metting pretty early than usual. in this meeting we all got the chnace to share our experiences about todays work. everyone was very proud and satadifed with their job today, as they should and we all ate dinner, had conversation with the firednds we made, and calling it a night waiting for tommorw to work harder.
