Cap day 3!!/ day 9 of our global glimpse trip

Hello parents and supporters Maddie in the building! Today was the final CAP day and the last bits of works for our trip in the Dominican Republic. Today was surprisingly quick and easy. Visiting the same area of Los Embasadores to build a floor for the third house of an older couple who has had a dirt floor for quite some time. Today we got to work doing our same routine, quicker and more efficiently than before! We were so quick today that we had completely finished the floor by 12pm! While we usually finished by 4:30pm.

Hello all! Dylan here. Since we finished so early today, with our new-found free time, we went to get fruit ice cream, snacks from a local market here in Constanza to bring home, and to a ‘chino’ (a local inexpensive Asian store) to find souvenirs and prepare for our final night at our accommodation. To end off the day, we had a group bonfire with smores, fresh apples, and ripe mango, and a peanut butter and brownie dip, along with all of our other goodies.

After all our pictures and chatter, we retired to pack for tomorrow, since we’ll have our last couple hours on the road ahead of us for going back home to Chicago. After enjoying our final day in the DR tomorrow, we’ll see you all then!

¡Hasta luego!
