Cap day 3

Hola a todos!! It’s Keira and Olivia, your favorite LDD’s. This morning, Keira and I decided to take the polite route when waking everyone up this morning. We then met in the villa to enjoy our delicious breakfast. This included rice & beans, eggs, watermelon, pineapple, bread, and huevos rancheros (basically sunny-side up egg with tomato sauce on top). Unfortunetly, we woke up to rain, which caused us to delay our time of painting the plaza’s fence (the plaza is a soccer field that the kids have and use at school). Before we left, we played a round of night at the museum. Then, we headed to the plaza.

While we patienly waited at the escuela, we decided to play a few rounds of Imposter. Eventually we started to paint the fence with sponges. After an hour a local boy came by and sold ice cream for 500 colones to those who wanted them (500 Colones is equivalent to 1 dollar). After a brief intermission of eating ice cream and drinking water we continued painting until 11:45, we then headed back to the villa (base house) feeling accomplished of our work during the morning shift.

For lunch, we had a delicious salad with cilantro lime sauce and lasagna, that had similar ingredients to chicken pot pie. After waiting about 15 minutes for rain to clear up, we were informed that we weren’t going to be able to go back to the school and continue painting. This left of us with 6 hours of freetime. We used this time to pack, shower, call home, and to play the pool finale (good luck Keira and Thomas) #WorstTeamInTheVilla. To lighten the mood for our last full day in the villa, we are having a movie night and watching White Chicks!!!

Although our plans were cut by the rain, we were able to make the most of it and be flexible with the rest of our day. Tune in tomorrow for the last blog of our trip by Ava and Cindel!
