CAP Day 2! Ixchel + mauricio

Hi families and friends today was our second day working on our CAP project.

To start off we began with some hype music to wake up everybody at 7:00. We then proceeded to gather everyone up and prepare for the first meal of the day at 8:00. After finishing the most important meal of the day, at 8:45 the transport arrived at our CAP project destination. At 9:00am we started by mixing the previously prepared batch of cement and then continued to even out the floor with buckets of dirt. While one group helped level out the floor another continued to make cement batches in order to continue cementing room floors.

After working hard for 4 hours we then returned to La Salle for our lunch break at 12:00 pm  in order to have lunch at 12:30 pm. For lunch we had rice with beans, lasagna, eggplant mixed with vegetables and salad accompanied with iced tea or water. After finishing lunch  we returned to our CAPproject destination at 1:30 where we continued to work hard and were able to finish the entire house within three more hours of hard work. Since we were able to finish the whole entire house in one day our group coordinator Heriberto was kind enough to invite us for an helado de varios sabores. To round up the rest of the day we returned from the work side and started getting ready for dinner. For dinner we had potatoes, white rice or black rice with beans, salad, bananas, fried cheese, and salami. After our delicious dinner we proceeded to have our nightly meeting to wrap up today. And proceeded to prepare for tomorrow by passing our leadership to new leaders of the day.
