Cap day 2

Hello familias! It’s Claudia and Saffie! The C1B delegation Glimpsers have just completed day 2 of our community action project.

Today, we continued working on the frame of Doña Maria’s new home. With much improvement from yesterday. We accomplished this by organizing our team in to groups, we were able to drastically improve the speed and efficiency of our work. We helped community members such as Bernardo and Jesus cut wooden boards and nail them to the frame in order to create walls inside and outside the home.

When we arrived at the CAP site, we decided to spilt the Glimpsers into 4 groups. Each group had one Spanish speaker and we had a time block of 15 minutes for two groups to be able to work and the other two on break. Allowing everyone to have a fair amount of work, have time to catch their breath, and interact with Doña Maria.

Come back to our blog tomorrow to see how our last day of the CAP project goes!

Claudia and Saffie!
