Hey everyone! This is Autumn, Jane and Isis.
Hi guys this is Autumn!! This morning we *tried* to wake everyone up at 6:30. Unfortunately the alarm did not go off, but we made it work and still started the day on time! We ate a delicious breakfast and then piled into the bus to go to our CAP (Community Action Project) destination. Today was the first day of the project, and we were all excited to put our designs to the test as we got out supplies and started painting colums, signs, and doors. Our CAP project is being done at Nutra Hogar, a center for children ages 0-5 who struggle with malnutrition. My group painted some pretty cool toys on a door, with legos, a teddy bear, rubber duck, and more. Our project was very important to us because we had visited the kids before and really bonded with them, so we were excited to do whatever we could to make their lives more joyful. I got to visit the little boy who I had grown very attached to, running in circles with him until I thought I might pass out. To my friends and family imy all and can’t wait to see you soon! xxx

Hey chat omg it’s Isis. I was one of todays LDDs so I was very excited. During the middle of the day at Nutre Hogar we all worked in our small groups to each take on a painting project like Autumn had mentioned before. My group had the chance to paint the animals door which I feel is a beautiful work in progress!!! My group started by painting a sunset and trees to have as a background for the many animals were painting for the kids in the center and tomorrow were going to do so much more and actually add more of our animals. We have a lot of work to do but you really have to trust the process. Our wonderful cook from our hotel, Ilka, dropped off food for us to eat while we took a break from working. Her food is so good, we ate rice and beans with chicken and plantain which i lovee. I am very excited to see what the rest of my trip brings and to everyone in Boston I miss you so so so much and ill be home soon. Woohoo Xoxo @cwabb 🙂

Hey, this is your LDD, Jane! After all our hard work on the CAP project, we came back to the hotel to enjoy some free time. Many of us went into town to go shopping, buy snacks, and visit a local bakery, while others relaxed in the pool at our hotel. We then gathered for dinner and had our nightly meeting, where we reflected on how well we worked as a team during our CAP project, and made goals for the next few days. Shoutout to my family, I miss you all xoxo!
