Hello! My name is Bobbi Williams and I’m from Freedom High School in Oakley, California. For this trip I’m excited to gain the new experiences this trip will bring as well as meeting everyone both on the trip with me and within the Dominican Republic!

i am 17 years old currently (18 in november!) and i’m about to go into my senior year by july. i am an active participant in various clubs at my school including key club, national honors society, csf, and i’m going to be in leadership for my senior year. i am also a leader in clubs such as amnesty international and my schools colorguard programs as historian and treasurer in both! i’ve been a participant in colorguard since the end of my sophomore year and have performed in various competitions. i also joined theater for the spring musical you’re a good man charlie brown and i’ve been casted for the upcoming fall play of beauty is the new beast! some of my other hobbies include drawing, making crafts, reading, writing, and graphic design. an experience from high school so far that i have valued is completing the ap capstone pathway (both ap seminar and ap research courses, #bigsteppas) and through this i was able to get published!

some of my favorite artists are suki waterhouse, ethel cain, and déyyess. my favorite pieces of media are daisy jones & the six, the hunger games, and fantastic mr. fox. i love collecting physical media such as cds and vinyls and i have a collection!

with global glimpse, this is going to be my first ever time out of country! as of writing this i haven’t been on a plane before either but right before this trip i will have my first experience with flying to a family reunion. i am a bit nervous for that part as well as how the experience will be overall but ultimately i’m excited for it and for the exposure i will receive to different cultural experiences as well as being able to strengthen my personal knowledge and skills. it will also be great to be able to bother mr. jones outside of school hours! #thegoat
