Greetings Family and Friends,
This morning we went to Playa El Arenal where Refugio Pedasi is located and where we first had a tour of the dunes. We also worked in groups to pick up trash along the beach. Then we sorted the trash into groups of plastic, foam, and shoes. This process helped us to understand what Margaret’s organization does on a daily basis, and we found that there was more amount of plastic than anything else. Refugio Pedasi takes inventory of the trash to find out the origin, what is discarded most, and from which companies. Afterwards, we went to a souvenir shop in Pedasi where we bought some great local souvenirs. Then we went to Oleajes Del Sabor where we were able to catch the ending of the Argentina vs. Egypt game for the World Cup, and we again ate delicious Panamanian food. We went to Playa Venao a Playita Resort where we were able to swim in the ocean, play soccer on the beach, eat special cake, enjoyed the afternoon with the nice weather and good company. On the bus we had a karaoke session we sang Brasilian songs with an instrument Eliezer bought. After the bus drive home, we had our last dinner at Asado Criss from our hotel and enjoyed our conversations. During our Big Love and Unity Clap we felt our most united. Our Unity Clap word for the evening was Familia! Enjoy our pictures below.
Sincerely,
Your Leaders of the Day,
Stefany, Eddy, and Eliezer

This is a personal shout out to my family and friends to thank them for reading the blog, supporting me throughout my journey this year, and for wishing me a good trip to Panama. I love all of you and hope to see you very soon. Big shout out to Abby for nominating me for Global Glimpse, being a good role model, and probably reading the blog (ILYSM!!). Everyone else I love yall.
Hey Mom and Dad,
I have really been missing you guys and the rest of the family so much. I’m coming back very soon just you wait. I’ve had a lot of fun on this trip and made a ton of new friends. This has been an amazing experience and opportunity. I loved every activity and bonding time. I’ve been smiling a lot more here as well. I’ve also changed for the better and grown more as a man and a person in general. Also I finally got to be Leader of the Day or Lider del Dia and I held some power and with my co LDDs we lead our group successfully. I can’t wait to come back to NYC to see everyone. I love you guys so much.
Love, Eddy
