Today was a day for the group to express themselves through Art and Dance! We were treated to an eggcellent and nutritional authentic Dominican breakfast. This was the fuel we needed to be able to flesh out our artistic ideas and thoughts during Gato’s sculpting class, which featured the sculpting of the Taino people’s Gods BUT with a hint of our own uniqueness incorporated into it! We then headed back to the villa to enjoy another nice and fulfilling lunch where we discussed and played certain mind games, like hats, and horses, where it may have admittedly made a few Global Glimpsers crash out. We then headed to Paul’s dancing class to learn dances with historical backgrounds that takes inspiration form many cultures, the dances being Bachata and Merengue. And shout out to Safi and Karina for showing us some of their traditional dances as well! And after such we were treated to some delicious fruity ice cream and a trip to a big store for beach stuff, trinkets, and souvenirs. At home we had free time until it was documentary time, where we all sat around the TV and watched an educational video on the hidden side of the immigration problem in the Dominican Republic regarding the Haitians. Where problems are revealed that when it comes to them, they’re discriminated against, being given no due process, victims of colorism and unfair pay, much like the path the USA is following when it comes to immigrants and deportation. After which, we had a deep conversation that brought us all together in understanding. Finishing the day with a lovely dinner, and yet another terrifying day of Mafia!

hey bud ❤️🩹 we have so far learned 5 sets of drill!!! you are going to be my partner in the beginning and you are going to be to the right of madi for the rest of the sets. we also have a freshman coming in tomorrow for guard!!!! AND evie might do winter !!! which you better do this time… we have lots of jokes (and work) to fill you in on when you get back. and lots of senior business to work on. hannah tagged you in a personal message in the groupchat which you can’t even see so that was pretty funny! here is also some things which happened today (thursday):
madi told russell to take his socks off because he was wearing slides and instead came back wearing shoes and told me “i don’t want madi to see my feet.”
boosters got us pizza and when we got to the mpr i said “we need to hurry before diego gets here!!!” and he was actually sitting at a table right in front of me.
russell CANNOT swim. he gets swimmers ear from showering.
i can also send you all of the time slots i signed up for leadership hours once you get back!!!
i messaged madi to write a message for you but she hasn’t read it yet.. maybe i’ll come back when she does…

Jazzy and Fairy Magic Paw are getting along pretty well, but she’s still nervous…
Just to give you a heads up, when you get back, we’re leaving for Anaheim to take Jazzy to Disneyland.
You’ll be puppy-sitting Fairy Magic Paw 🙂 from Friday night to Sunday midnight.
