Student Trip Blog
Hi Everyone, I’m Amina from Brooklyn, New York. I go to the Urban Assembly School for Law and Justice (Downtown BK by the Marriott). I love the humanities and history, and I’m always up for a profound conversation about politics. Even though, I’m hyper-focused on humanities, I love other subjects too and as long I have some great friends I love school/learning. I always try to stay busy and join a bunch of clubs and internships.
On a more personal note, my mom is Trinidadian, and my father is West African; I’ve been to Trinidad 13+ times throughout my life. I love all things Caribbean, and because of that, I love traveling. In my spare time, I love spending time with friends (I LOVE a good conversation), listening to music, working out, or doing art (hence the chalk drawing in my header).
My favorite artists are wolfacejoeyy, Cash Cobain, Jordan Ward, SZA, Kali Uchis, and Rauw Alejandro. A lot of people say I don’t look like my music taste, but I’m really open to any type of music. Here are a few song recs: Trip by wolfacejoeyy, WHITE CROCS by Jordan Ward and Sunshine by Steve Lacy.
I’m Leo (August 11th), not sure if that changes anything but I love figuring out peoples zodiacs.
I love talking to people, and once I warm up to you, I might make a joke or two. Most people refer to me as an extroverted introvert because I have a big personality that I usually don’t share from the start. I’m also very adaptive, so once I learn about you, I’ll make sure that I can be a supportive friend.
I’m really excited to go on this trip with you all, and I have no idea what to expect, but I know it’ll be great. If it ever gets hard or you get pre-trip jitters, I’m a great listener, so feel free to reach out!
