Aila’s intro!

Hello! My name is Aila. I am 17 years old, I go to Arroyo High School, and I will be going to the Dominican Republic.

Some of my favorite hobbies are drawing, exploring new places, discovering new music, and dancing. I’ve been dancing for about 8 years now, I do ballet. One of my favorite pieces to dance was “The Dying Swan.” Some of my favorite places to go in the Bay Area are Crissy Fields in SF, Telegraph Ave in Berkeley, and Reinhardt Redwood Park in Oakland. I like these places because they are all so different, yet so enjoyable to be at. I am also a big music fan. I enjoy playing vinyl and, on occasion, being a DJ. I enjoy doing both because they allow me to discover new music/artist as well as meet new people.

I am so excited to go on this trip and be able to get to know new people and a new culture.
