Hello Global Glimpsers and families,
My name is Pierre Jones and this will be my first trip as a Global Glimpse Leader!
I am truly delighted to be meeting and accompanying you all on our trip to Constanza, Dominican Republic in the next few weeks. =D
Being born and raised in The Bronx, I have lived in the Big Apple my entire life. I am always grateful to experience life outside the bustling city of New York. I recently grew a passion for plants since my mom has been asking me to help her with gardening. In my room, I’m currently growing Aloe, a Chinese Money Tree, a Snake Plant and a small Cactus! Our trip to Constanza is the perfect opportunity to check out tropical wildlife and agriculture!!
A little bit about me, I attended High School in Washington Heights where I competed on the Varsity Basketball team and experienced the beautiful Dominican culture through my classmates who lived in the neighborhood. I then studied Film Production at the University at Buffalo. My passion for Arts and Cinema led to me becoming a photographer and experimenting with filmmaking. My free time is usually spent creatively, either editing photos or doodling.
Currently, as a Paraprofessional for the Baccalaureate School for Global Education in Astoria, Queens, I manage the Varsity Basketball Team as well as the Chess Club!
I am INCREDIBLY excited and looking forward to meeting you all and sharing this amazing adventure together!
CONSTANZA SEE YOU SOON

Hey Pierre, this is a great into blog, learned a lot about you here. For instance, basketball and chess? I thought I was the only one, ha. Hope you have a great experience in Constanza and you can put those photography skills to good use by bringing back some awesome photos of your delegation!
