Turrialba, Here We Come!

Hello Global Glimpse Students and Families!

My name is Heather Schacher, and I will be one of your Global Glimpse leaders this summer! I am incredibly excited to travel with you all this summer, and I know that we are going to have the BEST time!! I hope you are all getting excited too!

A little bit about me… I am a High School Math Teacher at Animo Watts College Preparatory in Los Angeles. I love getting to know my students, building relationships, and supporting them in developing their plans for after graduation. Outside of work, I love to do Pilates, go on outdoor adventures with friends, and travel! I have never been to Costa Rica before, but it has been on my bucket list. I am also a HUGE foodie and love to snack and try new foods!

This Global Glimpse trip will also be my THIRD! Last summer I traveled as a Global Glimpse Leader to the Dominican Republic. I also traveled with Global Glimpse as a high school student to Nicaragua years ago. I can’t wait for this next trip, because I have seen and experienced how impactful the program is twice now, both from the student and teacher perspective. If you’re feeling at all nervous, don’t worry, I am sure everyone is just a bit! Your GGL’s are here to support you, and I am confident that you will have a wonderful time!
