Hi! I’m Hana (pronounced Hah-nah like “the Road to Hana” in Maui, Hawaii). I like music and art, like drawing and painting, and I’m really looking forward to going to Panama, especially trying the food. I’m an introvert, but I always find people fascinating and I’m interested in meeting new people. Excited to officially meet the people I’ll be traveling with!

Hana! You’re in Panama at last! So excited for you to have this new adventure and experience and new country and culture while making new friends! How is it going?! I hope you are having a wonderful time. And I hope the sights are inspiring new artistic ideas.
Side note: I love that you introduced the pronunciation of your name like Maui’s “Road to Hana” — one of my all-time favorite drives for the tiny waterfalls at every turn and the smoothie stands… and the reward 7 pools at the end… and the thrill that Oprah’s house is somewhere along the way, only we’re not able to see it. So fitting, as you are as delightful as surprise waterfalls, fresh mango smoothies, or a glimpse of Oprah (should that ever happen to me).

Hana!!! I hope you are having incredible huge new experiences every day that you can’t even begin to unpack—and both finding new wonderful parts of yourself unfurling so far from home, and discovering new “countries” within allll the people you are meeting! You are so brave and I’m in awe of you! You’re in my prayers for a really magical time, even with the inevitable (necessary!) bumps in the road ♥️ (just like the road to Hana itself!)
