Day 13 “CLOSING REFLECTION”

Day 4 was a blast! As usual, we began the morning by waking up at 7 a.m. and having breakfast that was cooked by the one and only Lenore<3. After breakfast, everyone got ready and we made our way to ImpACTA kits, where we met Carmen who taught us about the history and purpose of the foundation. Then, we made our way down to the fields where one of the coaches trained us for the upcoming baseball game. We completed our training and then headed to grab some lunch to refuel for the intense game. For lunch, we had rice, beans, fried chicken, sweet fried plantains, fried eggplants, and salad provided to us by a local community member. Once we finished, we made our way back to the fields to play with the kids of the organization (they were much better than any of us). We all had a great time but sadly we had to leave. We then went to Iberia, a local grocery store in the DR, to buy some snacks. We finally came back to the ranch and finished our day off with dinner and our nightly meeting. <3

Hi, wanted to let you know that last night’s game USA versus Uruguay resulted in a win for Uruguay :). Daddy, Nene, and Daddy miss you terribly. Andre invited Emilio to hang out with us on July 4, 2024, and on Friday they both hanging with Cooper and Kai. Annalise started working in the city. Happy you are having a great time and continue to enjoy your journey!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baseball is HUGE in the Dominican Republic. Some MLB baseball scouts visit there just to recruit. Y’all potentially played on a field where the next great MLB player will be recruited from. (mind blowing)
