Free Day (No. 22)

Hi everyone, it’s Molly and Elly (the LDDs). Today, we had a day to ourselves.

We got to decide what we were going to do and who we were going to do it with. My group (Molly) went to downtown Chitre and found many gifts for our friends and family. Then we made our way to La Bruja for Lunch. After a lunch of pork ribs, plantains, and bistec, a traditional beef dish in Panama, some of us went to Merca Chitre. There, we got ice cream and a gift for Angela, our cook. Then we headed back to the hotel. We showered, relaxed, and prepared for our final reflection, where lots of tears were shed (by Jeromie). Now it’s time to pack and get to bed!

Hey yall it’s Elly, apologies but we got the blog late and I will update you tomorrow on what my group did.

Having this free day allowed us to create even stronger bonds before we departed. Reflecting on one of our final meetings, helped the group look back on our times spent together. Tomorrow is going to bed hard, but we are excited for our last adventures in Panama. We look forward to seeing our loved ones at home, speaking of which….
