FREE DAY :)

HIIIIII everyone!!!! I hope you friends and family members are doing well. Today was a very chill but eventful day for us here in the Juan Dolio. To make a short story longer as LDD (Leader of the Day) my role started the night before. We had tacos and mangos for dinner which made everyone very happy. Most importantly me and Fernanda. These two foods being something we wanted to eat since we landed on the first day. We finished the night off with a dip in the pool, playing Gobal-Glimpse our own version of Marco-Polo. There in Juan Dolio we stayed in three different homes on the same property. Being split into three groups we had fun sleepovers with our new split of roommates. Our first impression of these houses had us in shock, each room being very spacious and unique to the number of people staying in each. This morning, we woke up to tasty pancakes, toast, and fruit juice which came out of my nose from laughing so hard at really funny jokes from Fernanda and Xavier. We took another dip in the pool right before we took a short ride to the beach, Marbella. Marbella Beach was very pretty. For those who live in New York, Marbell beach was one a New York beach could not compare to. Mainly because we could see the bottom of the water as well as little to no trash in the sand. At the beach, we bought beaded jewelry and beaded skirts from sellers on the sand. I got a mini pink shell necklace and an orange coverup with shell details. Once everyone got in the water, we played mermaids. Telling stories about our colorful tales and what our mermaid’s families were known for. We took photos on my mermaid shellphone, which was just a kind of rectangular rock I found in the water while trying to swim. When we returned to our second base, we remained in the pool due to the water running out, preventing us from taking showers until we returned back to La Salle in Jarabacoa later in the day. My lovely Isabela taught me a great way to use my arms when trying to swim, I can now say I’m 75% ready to claim myself as a cool swimmer. During our 4-hour ride back to Jarabacoa, we all took a quick nap and listened to nice music. When we arrived, the showers were up for grabs. Feeling nice and clean and ready for dinner. To our surprise, our PC Kat ordered us PIZZA. We ate every last slice except for two boxes with corn as their topping. Until we meet again with Chaya and Katherine as the new LDDs.
