FINAL REFLECTION DAY

Hello Families! Sad to say that this was our last full day in the Dominican Republic. Today we started off the day by waking up at 7 am, per usual, and eating breakfast at 8:00. We then had time to pack from 9 am till lunchtime at 12pm. After lunch we had our program seminar, where we reflected on our journey here in this country, reflecting on our most impactful moments and our personal growth. After this, we gave our final big love to one another as a group. We did so by signing other Glimpser’s notebooks, leaving kind words of encouragement and appreciation for our moments together.

After the seminar, we were given time to prepare for our final dinner at El Concon, which consisted of pizzas, and a variety of desserts. We all dressed our best for our last dinner as a group and took many photos and videos to capture the moment. All of us hopped on the guagua for the last time and it was the last time our amazing driver Kelvin drove us.

As we write our final blog post of the trip, we reflect on all of our favorite moments throughout the last 14 days. We will miss all of the new friends and connections we have created during our journey together and will cherish the memories we have made for a lifetime. While many of us are excited to see our family and friends back home, and our beds, all of us here are bittersweet about having to say goodbye. This experience has opened our minds to new perspectives from different communities, and it is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye. To all of our peers and newly found friends, we will miss you dearly and cherish all of the time we had together. And to our GG leaders and PCs, we say thank you for everything you have done for us. We hope that our parents and family back home are just as excited to see us as we are to see them. Thank you for your support,
