Student Trip Blog
Hi JA2B family,
Today, we went to a greenhouse and helped Miguel (the owner) and the workers with taking out all of the weeds from the coffee bean plants. Marysabela among others worked very hard through the complicated weather and Jamyriah got out of her comfort zone by digging in the mud. KJ shared sweet memories of him and his papa in the garden and it warmed everyone’s hearts. We then went to the coffee factory which was led by one of the workers, Adriana. It was super insightful and we tasted and purchased A LOT of coffee. Brendalys specifically tasted and enjoyed black coffee just like her father, Kennedy however didn’t enjoy it as much. Cooper got to enjoy his first real coffee and loved it. Lastly, we went to a supermarket where we purchased tons of junk food and snacks. To celebrate the 4th of July, we had a chocolate cake that had cherries and a beautiful sparkler. To pass the time, Rosie has managed to get the entire group to pick up a new hobby, making friendship bracelets, and Yvette has been beating everyone at card games. Kyla wasn’t feeling her best but she joined us later in the day and she’s a real trooper.
We love and miss you all dearly and can’t wait to see and share our adventures with you!

Brendalys-what a surprise you liked black coffee! Dad is very proud ? I’m sure you don’t miss the noisy fireworks. They’ve been non-stop since yesterday. How lovely and heartwarming it is to read your blog every morning. Julia, I really hope you have bought your mama some coffee you know how much I love it!!! I am so glad you’re getting to live this amazing hands-on activity. Learn some tips to share with us when you come home. I am so happy all of you got to celebrate July fourth! We miss you so much JU.
