Sunday Funday

Hey family & friends,

Today was very eventful! We woke up at 6:15 am for Sunday Funday. Before beginning our adventure to Baños, we ate breakfast at Isabel’s. We then got together on the bus for our 2-hour trip, and those who were still tired from this morning were able to get some rest. Once arriving at Baños, we got some morning rain as we hiked down Pailón del Diablo, we walked across a couple of bridges to see the powerful and misty waterfall. After taking some group photos, we hiked back up the bridges to the bus. Before heading off for lunch, we had some extra time to visit Parque de Familia, seeing the beautiful greenery of the mountains and the flowers surrounding us. Once lunch was ready, we went back on the bus to the restaurant “Leprechaun” for lunch and were greeted by the mystical theme as we walked in. After finishing our meal, Christian treated both the LDDs (us) and himself to delightful vanilla lattes that not only tasted great but also revitalized us for the remainder of the day. We then had a short tour of Nuestra Señora del Agua Santa and a different waterfall, which was their main water source for daily living in the past. With 15 minutes left, we shopped before getting on the long bus ride back to Riobamba and napping for most of the way back. Once we arrived, we had 50 minutes to freshen up and hang out at the hotel. Then we headed out around 6:30 pm for dinner at Lina’s Mexican Restaurant. We had a great time bonding together and eating delicious food. Finally, the group went on the bus back to the hotel to have our nightly meeting where our next LDD, Vanna, was introduced.
