Hello!!! (No. 24)

Hello!!! My name is Kyla. A little to know about me is that I’m an up coming Senior at James Logan High School in Union City. I am in band and play Alto Saxophone for marching season, and will be playing Bass Clarinet for concert season this upcoming school year, which is something really new for me because the Alto Saxophone has been the main instrument that I have been playing since 6th grade.

I’m also a retired Tenor Saxophone player and I can somewhat play the Ukulele. When I’m not busy with band or drowning in homework I enjoy listening to music some of my favorite music artists and bands right now are Hoizer, Laufey, Matt Maltese, Mac DeMarco, TV Girl, The Smiths, Strawberry Guy, Metallica, Slipknot, and many more that I could keep listing. In my free time I also enjoy hanging out with my friends, baking, cooking, reading (please give me reading recommendations if you have any), going on walks, watching movies (Coraline is my favorite) and occasionally playing video games.

My goal for the future is to work in the medical field, specifically I want to  become a pediatric surgeon. I have 4 pets 2 leopard geckos named Feisty and Sunny, a dog named penny, and a betta fish named Bubbles. One of the reasons I applied to Global Glimpse because this is something way out of my norms and I love exploring new places and learning about different cultures. I’m so excited about my trip to the Dominican Republic I’m really looking forward to the experience and I can’t wait to meet everyone!!!
